(sing along) We Three Kings of Orient Arrrrrrrrre!

El Día de los Reyes Magos
(Three Kings Day)

Wednesday, Jan 5
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Auditorium, Southside Branch Library

The Library and the Hispanic League welcome you to a celebration of Three Kings Day--El Día de Los Reyes Magos, the last celebration of the Christmas Season.

We will have pinatas, refreshments, crafts, and all children participating will receive one free book.

Epiphany/El Día de los Reyes is actually the next day, but in Spanish-speaking cultures, children do most of their celebrating the evening before, January 5th. That night they leave their shoes out under their beds to be filled with sweets and gifts. In some places, the children also leave a box of grass or hay for the kings' camels. There are variations country to country, but pretty much all of them involve baking and eating a special cake. In other words, YES.
