After we left CompRehab this morning, we headed toward the school. At Five Points, though, the youngest spotted a man standing silently and still, holding a cardboard sign that said, "Have no food. Please." The youngest looked at the man so seriously, taking in the dirty sweatshirt, the beyond repair shoes. When the light changed and we began to move, he asked if the man had a home. I said he probably did not. So we slipped past Starbucks and bought some fruit and nut packs and a cup of hot chocolate, and we made one more stop before heading to school.
