Phonophoto of the day

300 block, North Marshall

If I had my druthers, these signs would be everywhere, because I love historical tidbits. That's why recently I went giddy-max when I came across this smidge of local lore in a product description on Amazon:

Indera Mills was incorporated in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1914. Francis Henry Fries, the Company's founder, was a successful entrepreneur. Mr. Fries named the Company after an attractive Indian princess named Indera whom he met while on vacation with his family in Egypt in 1907.

Holy cow, that is some amazingness I just bolded right there.
