We are so blessed to live in such a talented community; check out these recent works from your neighbors!
From our very own Bo Gray comes this gorgeous collection of Bo's photographs alongside James Allen's As a Man Thinketh.
In 1985, 15-year-old Bowman Gray IV lost his father to a heart attack. Later that same year, his mother gave him two gifts—a copy of As a Man Thinketh and a 35-millimeter camera. At the time, he did not fully appreciate how important these two gifts would eventually become to him.
From David Bergstone comes the brilliant Images of Old Salem: Then & Now, which is frankly riveting.
Produced in partnership by Old Salem Museums & Gardens and John F. Blair, Publisher, Images of Old Salem: Then & Now uses exclusive historical images alongside present-day color photographs to show the evolution of the village. The accompanying text provides insight into how each component was preserved.
Both books are available signed: David's in any of Old Salem's giftshops and Bo's by asking me nicely to put you in touch with him. Remind me to remind you closer to the holidays that signed books make outstanding gifts.
