Local Upcoming Anniversary

Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County is Turning 25!

On Saturday, July 10th from 8 AM - 1 PM, volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, the Winston-Salem Dash and Lowe’s will pre-build wall frames.

This work will assist Habitat for Humanity in its mission to eliminate poverty housing and provide quality, affordable housing for local families in the Winston-Salem area.

These frames will be used at various Habitat construction sites in the area.

There are 25 volunteer spots still open; interested participants should call Habitat of Humanity of Forsyth County at 765-8854.

Later that evening, Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the Winston-Salem Dash home game (against the Lynchburg Hillcats) by providing tickets for 300 of its homeowners to attend the game.

Fans will sing “Happy Birthday” to Habitat for Humanity during the seventh-inning stretch.

Esbee note: the appropriate gift for the twenty-fifth anniversary is silver, even on the new, "modernized" gift list. For the record I am not a fan of that particular modernization, save for the fourteenth and the thirty-fifth anniversaries. Otherwise, though, I really do prefer the traditional gifts, paper and tin and leather and such.
