Two Local Notes for Local Two-Wheelers

1. Pedal for a Purpose! The 1st Annual Bike Ride for The Shalom Project will take place Saturday, May 22nd, with registration beginning at 8 am. The start point is at Brookstown UMC. 23, 46, or 63 mile routes take you through beautiful Northern Forsyth County.

The Shalom Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit that seeks to serve area families with a weekly community meal, a free medical clinic and a food pantry and clothing closet. A free afterschool program is also offered, with 30 children participating each Monday-Thursday. The Peters Creek Community Initiative, through The Shalom Project, seeks to revitalize the area of Peters Creek Parkway between the West Salem and Ardmore neighborhoods.
