Feeling Volkssporty?

"Volksmarching (from German Volksmarsch meaning "peoples' march") is a form of non-competitive fitness walking that developed in Europe. Participants typically walk 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on an outdoor path. Volksmarch associations offer incentive awards (usually pins and patches) for collecting a certain number of events."

Our 10 kilometer walks are in areas of historical interest or scenic beauty such as parks and in conjunction with events of community interest. The Winston Wanderers Walking Club is located in the Piedmont of North Carolina, including Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. The club is affiliated with The Tarheel State Walkers VolksSports Association (TSWVA), The American VolksSports Association (AVA), and The International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV).
