Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will hold a baby shower for the local chapter of Newborns in Need on Thursday, May 28, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Medical Center’s Ardmore cafeteria.
The community is invited to attend and bring a new, unwrapped gift which will go to help needy newborns in the area. Clothing items needed for preemies and newborns consist of cotton hats, mittens, onesies, and socks. Other items include diapers, BPA-free baby bottles, nursing pillows and covers, receiving blankets, powdered baby formula, car seats, strollers and baby beds.
Brenner Children’s Hospital’s Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team will give tours of its critical care ambulance and offer curbside collections of donated items outside the main entrance of the medical center.
I'll be dropping something off curbside in honor of my own preemie, now a thriving, almost-eleven year old (gah!).
