(whispering) smart

The thing is, you'd never know walking in. You'd see the smile, you'd see the fun lettering, and the ice creams and gelatos and such, and you'd never know.

But then you'd ask for a sample of something, and she'd happily hand you the little, loaded spoon, and you'd taste it and think to yourself, "Wow, this is delicious! Ridiculously so!" But unless you tried five or six and realized every single flavor danced on your tongue, the mere possibility of it wouldn't even cross your mind.

And she wouldn't tell you. Because what I've noticed is that the people who are really so, so good at what they do are quiet. They don't throw out letters or qualifications. They don't have to -- their work speaks for itself.

So you'd probably never guess the ice cream lady had a doctorate in Food Science and Technology. But you'd taste it.
